A component of an additional wave of renovation works to the original Hospital includes the relocation of the existing entrance to a central location.
This will enable the Hospital Entrance to be accessed directly from, and address the recently introduced pedestrian and vehicular entrance. This component is essential to the appropriate completion of the new entrance sequence from the Bayswater Road frontage.
Apart from reworks within the existing buildings for new meeting rooms, offices and reception, the new entrance incorporates the construction of a Porte Cochere roof and a building extension to house an Entrance Foyer and Chapel.
This extension utilises a two storey volume to act as a marker and to provide interesting internal volume. The external walls continue the language of the introduced folded rendered concrete masonry walls.
