Lost–Spaces are individual, unique public spaces within the City which are unused or significantly underutilized. They are typically physically degenerated or derelict and commonly the result of the vagaries of history and urban development. Lost–Spaces have enormous untapped potential to contribute positively to the unique built environment of Townsville.

The Lost–Spaces Project aims to:
—identify Lost–Spaces
—comprehend their historical and physical attributes
—speculate upon how these spaces could be utilised

The Lost–Spaces Project holds the ultimate potential of influencing people’s perceptions of the development possibilities of Lost–Spaces.
